With 4th of July in the rearview mirror, I’ve just about exhausted all my summer recipes.

However we still have plenty of sun-filled days left. 

I know that this time with the kids is extra special, and finding new snacks and treats can be time consuming.

So, allow me to provide you with six quick and delicious recipes for snack and drinks that will keep you summer cool and delicious! 

  • Frozen Grapes 

    Don’t let the simplicity of this fool you…..Frozen grapes make an awesome healthy and delicious snack. One that will cool you and your kids off during the summer!

    For this recipe, you will need: 



    1. Grab some grapes (green or red the choice is yours) give them a rinse, making sure they are nice and clean. 
    2. Place them in a plastic bag or even take toothpicks and place one or two on the    end for a healthy popsicle substitute. 
    3. Place them in the freezer for at least 4-5 hours and then enjoy. 


  • Tropical Summer Smoothie  

    Laying out in the sun and getting a tan is a no brainer during these summer months. So why not accompany a nice warm afternoon with a tropical smoothie?

    For this recipe, you will need:

    1 – Banana 

    ½ cup – Pineapple 

    ½ cup – Mango 

    ½ cup – Orange 

    ½ cup – Yogurt 

    ½ cup – Ice 

    1 cup – milk 

    (Keep in mind you can use frozen fruits for this recipe. If using frozen fruits the amount of ice you use can vary depending on how thick you like your smoothies.) 


    1. Combine in a blender the ingredients and blend until your ingredients are mixed and smooth. 
    2. Pour into a glass and enjoy as you soak up the sun, oh and don’t forget some sunscreen! 

  • Cookie Dough Yogurt

  • Who doesn’t love cookie dough? This simple and delicious recipe will let you enjoy a healthier substitute for those sweet-tooth cravings….without the guilt!

    For this recipe, you will need:

    1 – pack of yogurt ( 6 oz) 

    1 - Tablespoon of Peanut Butter (2 if you have a nutty craving) 

    1 – Tablespoon of Honey 

    ½ - Tablespoon of Chocolate Chips


    1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix them with a spatula folding the ingredients together. 
    2. Once the ingredients are mixed thoroughly place in serving bowl and enjoy or refrigerate till you have those cookie dough cravings!


  • Chocolate Banana Ice-cream 

    It’s hot, the sun is out and there’s not a cloud in sight. Time to pull out the big guns and whip up some ice cream, but there’s no need to spend extra money on Ben and Jerry. We have got you covered with a delectable and simple homemade chocolate banana ice-cream!

    For this recipe, you will need:

    1 - Blender

    2 - Frozen bananas (peel these before blending) 

    2 – Tablespoons of Cocoa powder 

    1- tablespoons of Peanut Butter (creamy or chunky) 


    1. Combine the Bananas, Cocoa powder, and Peanut Butter in a blender. 
    2. Blend on the high setting, stopping to check consistency and to push down any rebellious bananas. (you can also add 2 tablespoons of milk if the consistency is not coming out as creamy as you would like it.) 

    Once you have reached the consistency that you desire, go ahead and enjoy! 


  • Apple Nachos

    Let’s be real, who doesn’t love nachos? Sometimes, you just want something sweet and refreshing instead of salty chips. So, grab the kids and make some tasty apple nachos for a sweet treat. These are especially fun to munch on while staring at the stars (campfire optional).

    For this recipe, you will need: 

    3 – Apples (sliced) 

    1/3 cup – Yogurt 

    1/3 cup – Almond butter

    ¼ cup – Dark chocolate chips 



    1. Go ahead and wash those apples and cut them into thin slices. Then arrange the apples into a beautiful apple nacho circle.
    2. Place the yogurt into pastry bag and proceed to drizzle the yogurt over top the apples. Do the same thing with the almond butter as well. 
    3. After you have finished drizzling the yogurt and almond butter, take the chocolate chips and sprinkle them across the top. 
    4. Finally, grab that cinnamon and give a light dusting to just top of your delicious and semi-healthy nachos!

    (keep refrigerated until consumption) 


  • Peanut Butter Bites 

    Peanut butter is a prime go to snack, but instead of eating with plain crackers, pair it with oats and chocolate for a satisfying treat in the afternoon!

    For this recipe, you will need:

    1/3 cup – Creamy Peanut Butter

    ¼ cup – Semi-sweet chocolate chips

    ½ cup – old fashioned oats 

    1 tablespoon – Honey 


    1. Take the five ingredients and place them all in a bowl. Stir them until you have nice mix. 
    2. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 10 minutes (this makes it easier to roll into balls)
    3. Roll the mixture into balls and store in the fridge for up to 7 days.
